Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

As usual, time is flying so fast that I just can’t seem to keep up.

I hope that all of our family and friends out there had a fantastic Thanksgiving.

Was it just me or did Thanksgiving sneak up on us this year? I can’t believe we’re less than a month away from Christmas.

We had a nice Thanksgiving. We were so thankful that we were able to spend time with our family after Cameron and I had the flu the week before. We didn’t make the decision to come until the day before. It was so nice to see our cousins from out of town.

Here are a few pictures we took to remember the day. I wanted to capture the relaxed & loving atmosphere. I was going for a lifestyle feel with these. My camera capped me a bit in quality but these pictures mean so much to me. My parents and grandparents are so special to me. I love seeing them so happy.

My beautiful grandmother, the almost birthday girl.

Charberry Shortcake and her mimi.

The Texas were on and the whole family gathered around to cheer them on. We’re not football fans but it’s hard not to be excited about how great they’ve been doing lately.

Mother and Daughter.

Cameron being serious about these froggies.

My Pappy. Such a fantastic smile.

Love this one.

Pops taking a breather to watch the game.

Jackson happy to spend time with his cousins.

As usual, Charberry is a happy camper when there’s food in front of her. She ate her first thanksgiving meal and made us proud. She ate for me too as I was still feeling a bit queasy and couldn’t eat at either my moms or Brian’s grandparents.

Working on a puzzle together.

Aunt Gaye showing Charlotte what the big kids are up to.

Why so serious?

Jackson and Cameron then played tag and ran through the house to burn off some of the energy from their food.

Then we left and went to Brian’s grandparents. My mission on arrival was to get some pictures of the rest of the cousins because I’m working on some super secret ideas for Christmas gifts… so no posting those on the blog! But I did get a group shot (well 15) and this was the one that was closest to everybody looking in the same direction…  but to be honest I kind of like it like this. This is very typical Cameron.

On a side note, there are 2 things that I have dreamed of learning in my life.

1) Piano and 2) Photography

My amazing husband found an online photography course for a great price. I guess it’s kind of like my early Christmas gift. It starts next week. I cannot wait!! I am hopeful that this is the year I get to upgrade my camera. I’ve never really had a hobby before and finding it to be so refreshing. I cannot wait to learn more.

Wow, looks like you guys had a fantastic day. Everyone looks so happy.Four Generations !!! That’s awesome.

Although you enjoy taking photographs, please remember to get yourself in some. Your kids will thank you for it in years to come.

Thanks Todd. You know, I was thinking the very same thing when I was going through my pictures. Not a single one was taken of me. I read something a while back about the “mamarazzi” as they call us, who take millions and millions of pictures of our kids but never any of ourselves because we always think we look awful etc. I have tried to be in more since reading that …but it will take some convincing to get Brian to realize this and grab the camera every now and then. 🙂
